Get Fit Even If You're Busy

The working population regularly invests eight hours of its time each day, trying to earn a living. But there are also people who work 9-10 hours every day to make both ends meet. There are also people who work more than those hours, making themselves prone to different illnesses and serious physical conditions. The risk of getting these conditions is really high.

In today’s financially challenging world, we need to earn money in order to survive. To make it happen, we need to work hard. We love extending our work hours to earn more, put something more on the table, pay for tuition fees, save for medical services, and pay rentals. But most of the time, we forget about our health.

Look at yourself. You can’t even say a little prayer before you sleep because you are always dead tired. If you were among those people who work more than eight hours every day, you should stop for a while and try to assess yourself. How have you been in the last six months? Are you still maintaining a healthy lifestyle? Or you are now curling in bed due to the inescapable stress and exhaustion?

I am not going to tell you to stop earning a living, but I will ask you to make little changes to your lifestyle. I know you are too busy to spare another bit of your time each day, but if you would want to survive in the next four to five years in your current job, try considering the following health tips. When you try to practice any of them, observe the gradual, positive differences it make to your everyday life.

Sleep Like A Baby

If it would be impossible for you to get a longer, regular hours of sleep, try to at least sleep like a baby. An uninterrupted sleep reinvigorates your body, refreshes your brain and allows your system to function precisely. You may consider a relaxing music, a comfortable mattress and soft pillows to make a good sleep.

Eat Like A Royalty

People who are working terribly hard sometimes forget to eat on time. Or, they do not bother eating at all and when they do, they eat like it’s the last food on earth. Be conscious of your food diet. Being overworked and eating the wrong foods can put you into serious health troubles. Eat the right foods and take in the right nutrients to boost your physical strength and maintain your focus.

Keep The 'Head-Turner' Shape

Getting fit must be the hardest thing to do for a very occupied person. But always remember that your health is one of the determining factor when it comes to personal and professional growth. Allot few minutes of your time each day to get fit. Run, swim or try aerobic exercise. Try outdoor activities. Or consider physical fitness programs that can be done in few minutes and at home.

Develop Healthy Habits

Make “healthy” your definition to life. When you are sick, you can’t go to work and you can’t enjoy the best in life. Achieving your life goals should be secondary to achieving optimum health. There is no word “busy” when it comes to prioritizing health. Proper food diet, healthy exercises and positivism will make you a better person and a more productive professional.

The world is as competitive as your brains. If you aspired to achieve bigger, you should begin your journey towards that dream with a healthy lifestyle and determined outlook. Health is wealth as the saying goes. It’s better you are financially struggling but healthy, than being rich but dying too early.

E-Book To Completely Replace Paper Book?

A perfect world has books that you can read, explore, discover, learn, and grow.

Aside from my phone and tablet, books are my best companions wherever I go. I can’t live without books.

I’m a huge fan of young adult fantasy and adventure. These are the genres that allow me to forget about the crazy, mundane world and travel to realms bizarre and, most of the time, different from our own.

When it comes to books, I love reading paperbacks. The feel and smell of real paper is just amazing. There is something unexplainable when you are flipping through the pages of actual books. But when I’m on a long trip by bus, I would choose E-books. Not only it would save me from the bulk and weight, it would allow me to enjoy my reads while I am on a bus.

Well, let’s admit it. Technological advancement offers to make things easier for us to do. Personally, I don’t want to choose which is better between E-Book and paper book because I am comfortable with both. But on this article, I would like to share some of the differences between the two for you to decide which one would you choose to read your favorites.

Price
E-books are way cheaper than paper books. There are different determining factors on the prices of these two variants but obviously, digital publishing does not involve tremendous production cost.

Access
Kindle, Nook or iPad can hold thousands of e-books depending on its storage size. Unlike the paper books, you don’t have to go to the library or actual bookstore to search for the books you want to read. You can easily browse, search, download or buy it through your reader.

Weight
Evidently, with E-book reader you don’t have to worry about carrying a thick and heavy item. That is the advantage of E-book reading. Regardless of how many books you need to bring, you can do it in one slim, lightweight gadget.

Ease of Use
Do you think scrolling is easier than flipping? E-book reading is quite easier than flipping of pages. Besides, E-book compatible gadgets have several features on how to view your pages, font size, etc. But as I’ve mentioned earlier, actual books give you a unique feeling.

Portability
Anywhere you go, you don’t have to worry about choosing which books you are going to bring with you. With your E-book reader, you can bring them all and read them anytime. A gadget like an iPad is easy to carry and it won’t be a trouble on your luggage.

Safety
E-book safety is in your reader, on how you protect your gadget. A paper book needs tender care to always ensure that it’s safe from moisture, dust, paper-eating insects, extreme heat, and other elements that would damage the pages and the cover.

Books are like doors to different dimensions where fun, adventure and surprises await us. While we are enjoying the drift of each tale, we are also discovering and learning something new. In this age of technology that makes available our good reads through hi-tech tools, such as the Kindle, Nook and iPad, we should also consider how to save and spend our money wisely. It is very practical to opt E-book reading but for me, there can be no substitute to the unique and indescribable feeling of reading paper books.

Now, it is up to you to choose. Happy reading!

Celebrate Valentine’s Day with an Adventurous Twist!

In just a few more days, the streets will be flooded with cars ridden by couples on romantic dates and motorcycles driven by people delivering flowers, chocolates, stuffed toys, and other Valentine gifts. If you haven’t booked a romantic dinner for two yet, then you’re going to be in trouble. By now, restaurants will be booked to nearly full and bouquets will become scarce even as ridiculously overpriced as they are on Cupid’s day. But if you’re tired of competing with other couples for restaurant bookings, why not try to add a little adventure to your usual valentine’s date?

Romance and adventure come hand in hand as Island Buzz Philippines SUP & Kayak Adventures (IBPSKA) bring lovers a night to remember with their Valentine’s Full Moon Adventure on February 14. Witness the glorious sunset as you hold hands drifting in the middle of the sea in a tandem kayak or on a Stand-Up Paddle (SUP) board. Your romantic cruising begins at 4pm and ends at 7pm, with the beautiful view of the full moon rising as the perfect ending to your unforgettable adventure date.

The Sunset and Full Moon SUP or Kayaking package is inclusive of dinner, drinks, SUP or kayak, resort entrance fee, and glow sticks. You can choose from two schedules depending on which suits you. If you choose 4-7pm, you’ll be able to watch the sun sink into the fiery horizon and witness the full moon rise to the starry night skies. If you can’t get off from work early, you can still avail of the 8-11pm schedule where you’ll be able to bask in the gentle glow of moonlight while paddling in your kayak or SUP. For those who are not very familiar with SUP, you can read more about this Hawaiian sport in wiki

For those wanting to take their romantic adventure to another level, they can avail of IBPSKA’s Full Moon Sea kayak Island Camping adventure on February 15. Estimated time of departure is 3pm from Kontiki Resort, where you’ll start paddling your way to 7108 island. As you set up camp in this uninhabited islet, you’ll be able to listen to the secrets of deep blue sea and sleep under the twinkling blanket of stars. You can choose to bring your own tent, food, and drinks. Or you can leave the preparation in IBPSKA’s capable hands. At 9am the following day, February 16, you’ll paddle back to Kontiki by kayaking.

So if you’re ready to celebrate Valentine’s with love and adventure, reserve now and call 0927 5683799. IBPSKA will be accepting last minute registrants as long as reservations are made two nights prior to the event. Full payment should be made before you paddle out.
